Honingklip is the recipient of PhytoTrade Africa's 2007
Natural Product Award for environmental sustainability.

The Award was made "for outstanding achievement in the field of environmentally sustainable natural products" and was handed over during the Natural and Organic Expo at the Cape Town International Conference Centre on 12th October where recognition was given to Honingklip as a family enterprise that is a pioneering and inspirational company which is still innovating, supporting diodiversity conservation and serving the local community.

Eskom ETA Awards

Honingklip was a finalist for the Eskom sponsored ETA award and appeared before a panel of judges in Johannesburg in November to make a presentation on their energy saving innovation : using solar energy to heat air for the drying operations . At a gala event held in Johannesburg on 10 December, Honingklip was declared the winner in the Agricultural Category for the proven application of sound energy efficiency principles. (Eskom is South Africa's supplier of electricity. The competition was endorsed by the South African Department of Energy and Minerals)
